Welcome to Café @ Canada Wood, home to a warm welcome, great service and superb food and drink. Our location is quite unique, whilst being just a few miles from busy Falkirk in Central Scotland, we are at a picturesque countryside location that has excellent walking trails and cycling routes.
We are a dog friendly café. Dogs and of course their owners are welcome in our lounge area, where you can also enjoy something to eat, including coffee, cakes and full meals. There are bowls of water outside.
The café is adjacent to the battle ground of the Battle of Falkirk Muir, which took place in 1746. Story boards just outside the café tell the story and show the point where the battle took place. In the café you can buy a book about the battle and its historical significance.
We visited this hidden gem this evening, and I remembered having it recommended a couple of years past when I was passing the place.
On this occasion we had the time to pop in and sample the fantastic food, the ambiance and stunning views over Forth Valley.
The food was out of this world and the polite and attentive staff made our family dinner a real treat.
As I said this place should be packed out the door.
Great value as well.
